What are chronic health issues? How can chronic health issues affect people?
A chronic health issue is expected to last a year or more. Chronic health issues require ongoing medical care. Chronic health issues may limit activities of various kinds.

Chronic health issues may exacerbate or introduce additional stress, pain, and fatigue. It may include sleep issues, body aches, anxiety, and irritability.
​
Why can coping with a chronic illness be so difficult?
When you are sick you’ll feel better soon. With a chronic illness it may never go away and can disrupt your life in a number of ways.
​
Chronic health issues may lead to invisible challenges like anxiety or depression. Keeping up with health management tasks can be stressful.
​
When people don't feel well it can lead to isolation, which exacerbates the other issues going on. When there are chronic health issues we need more support.
​
Chronic health issues can affect employability. The support offered by the government for people who are disabled is not enough to survive in most cities in the US.
​
The goal of this group is to live the best life we can while dealing with the chronic health issue(s).
​
We provide support, caring, resources, a discord server, laughter, provider recommendations, and the opportunity to be valued for who we are right now.
